It is an ambitious as well as bold undertaking to record all piano works and all song cycles of a contemporary composer who has hardly been published so far. The Ingolstadt pianist Masha Dimitrieva is passionately pursuing this plan – and has been putting it into practice for several years with a lot of creative heart and soul and great creative sensitivity. 2018 saw the release of “Gordon Sherwood – Piano Works Volume I” – followed in 2019 by “Gordon Sherwood – The Complete Songs, Volume I”. Now the musician is following up: In November, she released the second CD with piano compositions by Sherwood. Today we present this recording together with the artist.<\/p>\n

Gordon Sherwood \u2013 Piano Works Vol. II – works between Beethoven, B\u00e1rtok and Blues in ingenious, unmistakable garb. Composed by an American free spirit who travelled the world and whose cultural and musical horizons knew no bounds.<\/p>\n
